Webdesk, TNI Indo-Bangla Border, 9th June, 2015: The chhit mahal residents are still in a festive mood after a week of new found freedom in the Indian soil. 44 years later these residents have got their true independence after the Indira-Mujib agreement in 1971. The people of Mashaldanga welcomed all the visitors, who are coming to see their plight after the historic agreement between India and Bangladesh under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi from Indian side and Sheikh Hasina from Bangladesh Side.
The residents of the village are now eagerly awaiting the amenities they longed for so many years. Some of them turned old in search of this new found freedom, still they are happy that they have seen this happening in front of their eyes. The dreams are ultimately coming true for these poor residents of Chhit Mahal.
